I was doing some reading on opsec where the guide said you must use a public wifi not you home wifi. question is there a way to use my home wifi and still stay hidden?

That's a complex answer to a simple question. In short, public wifi is a great option, but you want to look for a reputable VPN company first. Don't trust free VPNs, but find a good one that doesn't keep logs. Then, you're safer doing it at home, but without a 10-page explanation, that's not 100%.
